1. Take a look under the passenger seat (at the back side of the seat) and locate a black box called SBE.
2. The SBE box has a connector with 2 wires (blue and white). Disconnect that connector and connect the emulator instead of the connector. Attention! The SBE box also has a connector with 3 wires. This connector is NOT the seat mat connector! Do not remove it.
3. Connect a diagnostic tool to remove the old fault codes of a broken seat mat.

The device you purchased has 2 emulators in the box. First is the seat mat emulator which has 2 wires with a connector at the end. The second is the emulator for the seat belt buckle (wires red and black without connector) which turns off the sound of an unfasten seat belt that will occur after connecting the first emulator. You need to connect BOTH emulators. Assembly instruction for the seat mat emulator is shown in steps 1-4 below. Assembly instruction for the seat belt buckle emulator is shown in steps 5-6 below. PLEASE FOLLOW ALL STEPS!

Step 1. The seat mat connector is located in the big yellow wiring harness under the passenger seat (check photo 1 below). You can reach it from the front side of the seat. We suggest unscrewing the seat to lift it up if you have a problem reaching the wiring harness.

Step 2. Open the wiring harness by sliding the black handle to the side. It will release the wiring harness and expose the seat mat connector. Check photo 2 below.

Step 3. You will find 4 connectors in the wiring harness. The black connector marked on photo 3 is for the seat mat. You need to slide all connectors to the left to remove them from the wiring harness until you reach the black connector. Take a photo of these connectors to remember the correct order of the connectors.

Step 4. Now remove the seat mat connector (photo 4) and insert the emulator's connector in its place. Then insert other connectors that were next to the seat mat connector. Please remember that they need to have the same order as before you removed them. Check the photo you took in step 3. After inserting all connectors insert the wiring harness and close it by sliding the handle to the opposite side.

Step 5. Now you need to connect the seat belt buckle emulator in order to turn off the sound of an unfasten seat belt that occurred after connecting the seat mat emulator. Take a look under the seat belt buckle. You will find a black cable. Follow it until you reach a connector with red and black wires. The connector is sometimes black, sometimes white. Disconnect it. Some cars have 4 wires in the connector but you are interested in black and red wires only. Leave other wires intact. Check the photo 5 below for more guidance.

Step 6. Place the connector on its side. You will notice small metal pins that we have marked with a green circle on photo 6 below. Use a small knife or a screwdriver and gently push in the metal pin of the red wire and gently pull the wire out. Then insert the emulator's red wire in its place. Now gently push in the metal pin of the black wire and gently pull the wire out. Insert the emulator's black wire in its place. Connect the connector with the emulator to your car. And that's it.

Step 4. Now remove the seat mat connector (photo 4) and insert the emulator's connector in its place. Then insert other connectors that were next to the seat mat connector. Please remember that they need to have the same order as before you removed them. Check the photo you took in step 3. After inserting all connectors insert the wiring harness and close it by sliding the handle to the opposite side.

Step 5. Now you need to connect the seat belt buckle emulator in order to turn off the sound of an unfasten seat belt that occurred after connecting the seat mat emulator. The connector for the seat belt buckle is located in the same yellow wiring harness as the connector for the seat mat. It is the white connector on the left side. Please check photo 5. You need to take out this connector from the wiring harness.

Step 6. The white connector usually has wires in colors: purple and orange-black. You need to replace them with the emulator's wires. PURPLE wire should be replaced with the emulator's black wire, ORANGE-BLACK wire should be replaced with emulator's red wire. If your seat belt buckle has red and black wires instead of the purple and orange-black wires then you need to replace the wires in the same colors (red instead of red, black instead of black).

Step 7. Place the connector on its side. You will notice small metal pins that we have marked with a green circle on photo 6 below. Use a small knife or a screwdriver and gently push in the metal pin of the first wire and gently pull the wire out. Then insert the emulator's first wire in its place. Now gently push in the metal pin of the second wire and gently pull the wire out. Insert the emulator's second wire in its place. Connect the connector with the emulator to your car. And that's it.

The connector for the seat belt buckle is located in the same yellow wiring harness as the connector for the seat mat. It is the white connector on the left side. Please check photo 5. You need to take out this connector from the wiring harness.

Step 6. The white connector usually has wires in colors: purple and orange-black. You need to replace them with the emulator's wires. Step 2. Take out the connector and place it on its side. You will notice small metal pins that we have marked with a green rectangle on photo 2 below.

Step 3. Use a small knife or a screwdriver and gently push in the metal pin of the red wire and pull the wire out. Now insert the emulator's red wire in its place. Then exchange the white wire, and then exchange the brown wire. Connect the connector with the emulator into the yellow wiring harness. In the video below we have shown how to remove the wires from a connector.

Step 4. In the same yellow harness, next to the seat mat connector, you should find a connector for the seat belt buckle. It will have 2 wires in colors: red and black. Check photo 3 and photo 4 below. Take it out from the wiring harness. ATTENTION! Not all cars are equipped with the unfasten seat belt warning for the passenger seat. If your wiring harnes does NOT have the connector with black and red wire, just like we showed below, then do NOT connect black and red wire of the emulator to your car! DO NOT CONNECT THEM TO A PLACE WITH 2 BLACK WIRES!

Step 5. Now you need to exchange the black and red wires with the emulator's black and red wires just like you did it for the wires of the seat mat. Connect the connector to the yellow wiring harness once you exchange the wires and that's it.

Step 6. FOLLOW THIS STEP ONLY IF AFTER CONNECTING THE SEAT BELT BUCKLE EMULATOR YOU STILL HAVE A SOUND OF UNFASTEN SEAT BELT. Open the back cover of the emulator. You will find 5 switches hidden inside. Currently they are in position 1. OFF 2. OFF 3. OFF 4. ON 5. OFF. Change the position of switches number 4 and 5. Now you should have the following combination after change: 1. OFF 2. OFF 3. OFF 4. OFF 5. ON and the sound should be turned off.

Step 2. Take out the connector and place it on its side. You will notice small metal pins that we have marked with a green rectangle on photo 2 below.

Step 3. Use a small knife or a screwdriver and gently push in the metal pin of the red wire and pull the wire out. Now insert the emulator's red wire in its place. Then exchange the white wire, and then exchange the brown wire. Connect the connector with the emulator into the yellow wiring harness. Step 4. Now connect the seat belt buckle emulator. Near the seat mat connector you should look for a yellow wiring harness (visible on photo 1 behind the seat mat connector). In the harness you should find a connector for the seat belt buckle. It will have 2 wires in colors: red and black. Check photo 3 and photo 4 below. Take it out from the wiring harness.

Step 5. Now you need to exchange the black and red wires with the emulator's black and red wires just like you did it for the wires of the seat mat. Connect the connector to the yellow wiring harness once you exchange the wires and that's it.

WARNING! Go to steps 3-5 if you have not checked the seat mat connector before purchase and you ordered the emulator for a seat mat with a black connector but your car is equipped with a seat mat with a blue connector.

Step 1. The seat mat connector is located under the passenger seat on the back side (check photo 1 below). You can reach it from the rear side of the seat. Disconnect it from the female connector.

Step 2. Connect the emulator with your car and go to step 5 to connect the seat belt buckle emulator which turns off the sound and warning of unfasten seat belt for the passenger seat.

Step 3. Follow this step ONLY if you have not checked the seat mat connector before purchase and you ordered the emulator for a seat mat with a black connector but your car is equipped with a seat mat with a blue connector. Otherwise, scroll down to step 6. There are two ways to connect the emulator to a blue connector. First way is to cut off a small protruding plastic element that we have marked on Photo 3. Do not worry, you will not lose warranty and possibility to return the emulator if you cut this element.

Step 4. There is also a second way to connect the emulator. You need to remove the emulator's connector and replace it with the blue connector. You need a small screwdriver or a knife to do that. Take the emulator's connector and place it on a surface. You will notice small metal pins on the top that we have marked with a green rectangle on an exemple photo below. Push in these metal pins and gently remove all wires from the connector.

Step 5. Now, using the same method, remove the red wire from the blue connector of the seat mat and insert the emulator's red wire in it's place. Then do the same procedure with the white wires and then with the brown wires. Now you can connect the emulator to your car.

Step 6. Now connect the seat belt buckle emulator. Near the seat mat connector you should look for a yellow wiring harness. In the harness you should find a connector for the seat belt buckle. It will have 2 wires in colors: red and black. Check photo 5 and photo 6 below. Take it out from the wiring harness.

Step 7. Now you need to exchange the black and red wires with the emulator's black and red wires. Connect the connector to the yellow wiring harness once you exchange the wires and that's it.

Step 4. Disconnect the connector and insert the connector of the seat belt buckle in it's place if your emulator is equipped with a connector. If your emulator does not have a connector then you need to exchange the black and red wires of the original connector with the emulator's black and red wires. Connect the connector to the yellow wiring harness once you exchange the wires and that's it.

Step 5. FOLLOW THIS STEP ONLY IF AFTER CONNECTING THE SEAT BELT BUCKLE EMULATOR YOU STILL HAVE A SOUND OF UNFASTEN SEAT BELT. Open the back cover of the emulator. You will find 5 switches hidden inside. Currently they are in position 1. OFF 2. OFF 3. OFF 4. ON 5. OFF. Change the position of switches number 4 and 5. Now you should have the following combination after change: 1. OFF 2. OFF 3. OFF 4. OFF 5. ON and the sound should be turned off.

Step 4. Then connect the emulator to the wires that go from the connector. You need to connect black wire with black wire and red wire with white wire.

Step 3. Now connect the seat belt buckle emulator. Find a big yellow wiring harness under the seat. We have shown it on photo 3.

Step 4. Unlock and open the harness.

Step 5. Remove the 'L' shaped connector by sliding it to the left. Remember positions of all connectors.

Step 6. Using a small screwdriver, push the pins in the holes and remove the seat belt's wires (black and red). Then insert the seat belt emulator's wires in their place. Red wire into a pin hole where the original red wire was inserted, black wire where the original black wire was inserted. After replacing wires insert all connectors back into the wiring harness and close it.

Step 1. Locate the SBE control unit on the passenger seat. It is behind the backrest plastic rear cover.
