The seat mat connector and the seat belt buckle connector are located under the passenger seat in the yellow wiring harness. On the front side of the wiring harness there is one, big yellow connector with a few wires (please check the Photo 1). On the back side of the wiring harness there are four connectors. These are the connectors you are interested in.

RIGHT: the seat belt buckle (marked as 1) and the AKSE seat mat with 3 wires in colors: black, brown, blue (marked as 2)
Both seat mats are the same and require the same emulator. Mercedes just changed the colors of the wires around 2009/2010.

• Mercedes-Benz A-Class W169 (2004-2012) - seat mat with 2 black wires
• Mercedes-Benz B-Class W245 (2005-2011) - seat mat with 2 black wires
The seat mat connector is located under the passenger seat. It has two black wires (please check the Photo 1). You need to disconnect the seat mat connector and connect the connector of the seat mat emulator.

The seat mat connector and the seat belt buckle connector are located under the passenger seat. The seat mat connector have three wires in colors brown, red, white or black, brown, blue (please check the Photo 1). You need to disconnect the seat mat connector and connect the emulator's connector with 3 wires in its place. Now find the connector of the seat buckle sensor. Take a looku under the seat belt buckle and follow a black cable until you reach a yellow connector (check Photo 2). Disconnect it and connect the emulator's connector with 2 wires in its place. Proceed to Photo 3 if you have a red connector instead of yellow connector in your car.

Photo 2. Seat belt buckle and the connector you need to find (marked with a green circle). Disconnect it and connect the emulator's connector in it's place. Proceed to Photo 3 if you have a red connector instead of yellow connector.
Photo 3. In some cars, Mercedes used a red connector for the seat belt buckle sensor (like the one below). It is very rare. To connect the emulator you need to cut the wires about 2-3 cm from the connector (ideally in a place we have marked on the photo). Then you need to cut off the emulator's connector with 2 wires in colors: yellow and blue. Remove about 1 cm of insultion to expose the bare wires of emulator and red connector. Now connect the emulator's blue wire with the brown wire that goes out from the red conector. Then connect the yellow wire with the grey wire. After the process cover each wire with some insulation tape in a place where two wires are connected with each other.

2. Use the included quick connectors to connect the emulator. Take off about 2 milimeters of the insulation of the blue wire from the seat mat connector to expose a bare wire. Take a look on the emulator's wires to learn how much insulation you need to take off. Now insert the wire into the fast connector. Then take the emulator's blue wire and insert into the same fast connector but into the second hole. Once the wires are inside the fast connector, take the pliers end push the orange button on the top of the connector to connect the wires with each other and prevent them from falling out from the connector.
Photo 2. This is an example photo with 2 red wires inserted into the fast connector. Please notice that the orange button is pushed in to secure the wires.
